Our Tickets & Fares

Our range of tickets and fares are shown below.

All of our multi-journey tickets have a QR code printed on them. This QR code must be scanned on our ticket machines (face-up) each time you board the bus.

Adult Fares (16+)

Adult Single – Price dependent on distance travelling. Valid for a single journey.

Adult Return – Price dependent on distance travelling.Valid for a two-way journey on the day of purchase on the service it was purchased on.

Adult Day – £6.00. Allows unlimited travel on the day of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services.

Adult Weekly – £24.00. Allows unlimited travel for 7 days from the date of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services.

Child Fares (5-15)

5-15 Child Single (Taith Sengl) – £1.00. Valid for a single journey.

5-15 Child Single (Taith Sengl) x2 – £2.00. Valid for 2 journeys on the day of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services. Works like a return ticket.

5-15 Child Single (Taith Sengl) x10 – £10.00. Valid for 1 week from the day of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services. Works like a weekly ticket.

5-15 Child Day (Tocyn Cymru) – £3.00. Allows unlimited travel on the day of purchase, and can be used on any bus operator’s service in Wales that is participating in the Welsh Government Young Persons fare scheme.

MyTravelPass Fares (16-21) – A valid MyTravelPass must be shown to purchase

16-21 Single (Taith Sengl) – £1.00. Valid for a single journey.

16-21 Single (Taith Sengl) x2 – £2.00. Valid for 2 journeys on the day of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services. Works like a return ticket.

16-21 Single (Taith Sengl) x10 – £10.00. Valid for 1 week from the day of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services. Works like a weekly ticket.

16-21 Day (Tocyn Cymru) – £3.00. Allows unlimited travel on the day of purchase, and can be used on any bus operator’s service in Wales that is participating in the Welsh Government Young Persons fare scheme.

Special Fares

Family Day – £12.00. Allows unlimited travel for up to 4 people on the day of purchase on South Wales Transport bus services.

Cimla Adult Weekly – £15.80. A discounted version of the Adult Weekly ticket, valid only on Cimla services 251 and 252.

School Fares

Fares are the same as the Child Fares (5-15) shown above, but only single-journey tickets are available for Bishopston Comprehensive School (Service S37) and Cefn Hengoed Community School (Service S92).

Day tickets are not available to purchase on school services.
