Service 46 Diversion – Cwmrhydyceirw Bridge Closure from 19th July 2025

From Saturday 19th July, the Cwmrhydyceirw bridge over the M4 between Morriston Comprehensive and the Deer’s Leap pub will be closed for 4 weeks. This will affect service 46 which will need to divert.

From Morriston Hospital towards Morriston Cross, the bus will operate back out via Pant Lasau, Clasemont Road, Vicarage Road and back on to Chemical Road rejoining the normal route. This is likely to result in some delays but we do not anticipate that it will be significant.

First Cymru are providing a shuttle service between Morriston Hospital and the Deer’s Leap pub around the closure, via Parc Gwernfadog, for anyone that needs to travel to/from the affected section. This shuttle is open to everyone and you will not need to purchase an additional ticket to use it.
